My name is Chequita also known as Queet. The creator and owner of Queet’s Beauty Collection, LLC. I grew up in a small country town in Crenshaw County, Alabama. I started braiding hair at the age of 15, not because I wanted to, but because my mom was a single parent of 4 and couldn't afford the upkeep of my hair. From there, I would braid my family members' and classmates’ hair. You know in a small town that “word of mouth” spreads fast. I started cosmetology school after high school and later changed my major because I wanted to pursue a career in healthcare. Initially, I didn’t prioritize my gift to style hair and decided to pursue other opportunities. God always found a way to direct me back to my gift. 

As life happened, I moved to the city of Birmingham, Alabama in 2010, and pursued a career in Medical Billing and coding. Although I took the opportunity as a fresh start, it was tough moving away from my support system with my two-year-old son. These were the hardest days of my life. God put so many good genuine people in my path and they are still impactful in our lives today. In efforts to increase my streams of income, I started networking and building my clientele in Birmingham. 

During my years of braiding hair, I've encountered so many beautiful queens that lack confidence due to damaged hair, societal expectations, or mild to severe hair loss. I've always promoted healthy hair. I want to provide my clients with products that promote optimal growth and healthier hair. I started purchasing different hair growth products, watching YouTube videos, and experimenting to create the perfect formula. My mission was to create a product that would strengthen and grow hair… Mission accomplished!

On  May 12, 2023 my title shifted to full-time business owner and single mother. God placed me in an uncomfortable place in my career which led me to see my worth and step out on faith. I prayed and asked god to clear my path and lead me to my destiny. He did just that! I am the creator and owner of Queet’s Beauty Collection, LLC located in Birmingham, Alabama offering braids, Locs, Lash Extensions, all natural hair growth oil, edge control, and much more.
